Part 1 of the Last Call Celebration: The Red Dirt Queen of Hearts

Episode Summary

We were honored to take part in the Last Call Celebration at the end of July at Tumbleweeds in Stillwater, to celebrate the life and legacy of Chad Sullins who passed away in June of heart problems. The benefit was also to raise money for his three children. We were able to sit down with several people, including the previous members of the Last Call Coalition, which resulted in a couple of different episodes. This first part is a one on one interview we did later, after the event, between us, Leah and Tonya, as she interviewed me about my experience with Chad and how I found my way into this whole scene. Leah wanted to get my story and thoughts in the mix, and I was glad to do it.

Episode Notes

This is part one in a 3 part series of podcasts we will release featuring interviews from at the Last Call Celebration, in honor of Chad Sullins. The day was filled with music, memories, laughter and tears as we all came together to pour out our love in Chad's memory and to help raise money for his children. The event, hosted by Tumbleweeds and Red Dirt Relief Fund, in addition to other events and fundraisers in conjunction raised over $40k. We were honored to have been a part of Chad's life, and to be a part of the event. Chad leaves a void in the red dirt family tree, and he will forever be in our hearts. I've told the story many times of how he is the whole reason I am even a part of this amazing music family, and how he completely changed the course of my life. In this episode I share more about that and how I found my place in this red dirt family. Thanks for tuning in.  ~ Tonya
